My wasp bag from machen/machen’s fabulous pattern. The fabric is a souvenier from Tübingen, Germany.
I love this bag! It’s large enough to carry file folders and notebooks and not at all frumpy. The pattern instructions were easy to understand.
I made a few small modifications. I sewed the handles and handle linings together, turned, and topstitched instead of following the instructions in the pattern. Used a sew-in snap instead of a magnetic snap and a carabiner instead of a key clip.
main fabric: blue and white mystery fabric from Germany
lining fabric: yellow cotton quilters solid

The wonderful saleswoman in Tübingen. She was so friendly and helpful, despite my limited German vocabulary!
