I used McCalls 6066 to make a little girl’s circle skirt with 10 panels of 2 coordinating fabrics. Underneath it is a petticoat of shimmery tulle. I omitted the bow on the skirt waistband and matched the petticoat waistband with the skirt. I also only used 4 layers of tulle (instead of 8, as shown in the pattern picture) for the petticoat: 2 cream, 1 pale pink, and 1 cranberry. Because I layered different colors, the petticoat is reversible (picture 3 is pink side up; picture 4 cream side up). My just-turned-6 niece loved it, but it was a solid size too big (i.e., no pictures on the cute model).
This pattern was very quick to make up except for cutting the layers of tool (a giant circle) and hemming the skirt.

Thanks! Yes, both the skirt and petticoat have waistbands with elastic.
