The cotton jersey for the leggings came from Paron Fabrics in NYC. I used the Carol Leggings pattern size medium, and found that I had to cut about 5 inches from the waist and 4.5 inches from each leg. Which was a bit strange for me, as RTW tights/leggings are quite frequently too short for me ( I’m about 5’9"). I swear this pattern must have been drafted with ruching at the waist and ankles in mind…
The modal print jersey is from an awesome shop I found on eBay that sells roll ends from LA designers. I really like the swingy, flared tank tops I’ve been seeing. Using those styles as my inspiration, I traced the neckline of one of my favorite tank tops and then flared out the side seams. Since I didn’t use a pattern, this involved a bit of trying on & pinning to get the fit right, but the results were worth the effort!
