For this costume I took a kind of 40ies pattern from Vogue( V 8543). I sewed 2 differtent skirts, one matching to this Vouge pattern ( I think it turned out a little too old fashioned) the other one from Burda 8/06 #103. Both pieces are fully lined with contrasting red and grey stripes. The only problem is: you can`t wear it under tight coats or jackets, because of the swinging hem!

i really do love this suit! and i love the “oldfashioned” skirt, to go with. to me it is not old fashioned at all…… very well made and classic! BRAVO!
