i draft this swimsuit pattern and this polka dotted one is the first muslim for it. Next time i need to buy a more streching fabric for the lining because the one i used here wasn’t strechy enough and the garment tend to form little wrinkles around the legs. i also need to do the neckline a little bit longer because it was to tide and after wearing it for a while, my neck was a little sore. but despite all this minor issues i am very pleased with the finish suit and definitely going to do it again!!!

Nice project this swimmingsuit, looks like a good pattern. I had the same with the lining I used for my bikini, but we learn from doing :-)

Looks great! My neck gets sore whenever I wear a halter neck top, I hope your next version is more comfortable.

Your swimsuit looks great Vanessa. I would love to wear a swimsuit like that. I have tried over the years to make a decent swimsuit but I am never 100% happy. But yours looks like it really works for you. Well done.

Thanks Schnui, as a matter of fact i am very pleased with the result, while doing this i discover some things:
the elastic should be firm, i mean at first used one that was more soft and it didn’t work out well, you shouldn’t strech it too much while attaching to the lycra either, a very gentle pulling gives a best result. I used single zig zag stich for attaching the elastic the first time and a triple zig zag stich for the final attaching, you know, you have to sew the elastic one time and then turn it inside the garment and sew the triple zigzag stich to secure the elastic in place correctely. Well i hope this help you next time you give the swinsuit sewing a try!!!
