I found this cute vintage-inspired upholstery fabric for less than $4/yd at walmart and knew i HAD to make some new summer shorts with it. I didn’t use a pattern, but i used a couple pairs of shorts that i already owned as inspiration.

Wow! I tried to make some shorts last summer and they failed terribly so major well done to you! I think mine are still sitting in a bag somewhere waiting to be finished… I love the buttons and how well they go with the fabric!

thank you! no, i don’t have a blog, and this is my first time posting on burdastyle..i’m slowly becoming more familiar with the website :) also, since i didnt use a pattern, i’m not totally sure about a tutorial :/

These are gorgeous!! I love how you did the buttons instead of a zipper for closer. Also the pocket stitching is wonderful.
