Description

I love a deep neck line and since I only own one such shirt, I decided to make my own.
I used an old shirt as my bodice pattern and the Lydia pattern for the sleeves (love that they’re puffed a bit). I finished the neckline, as well as the hem at the sleeves and bottom, by turning the edge over twice and sewing it with a twin needle.

I’m still pondering whether I should put a ribbon bow in the front or back…what do you think? Until now it is only secured with a pin.

Very cute! I like it with the robbon bow.

Nice fabric! Seems I’ve developed a dot-affection. Maybe I’d attach the ribbon to the back, just because that’s more unusual.

yeah, well I can’t decide where to put it .
I like it both ways (front and back) but want to wear the shirt also underneath other shirts…
maybe I’ll attach the bow to a little safety pin so I can put it on and off wherever and whenever I like =)

Yes. That way it can be worn a little to the side too.

Lovely! I love the fabric (oh, I get dizzy every time I see polka dots…)! And how well it goes with your skirt! The bow is also a great detail, mind if I copy that? I have some polka dot jersey fabric laying around…

Sure, go ahead. I’m often inspired by other designs, too. So it’s a great honour if you like mine this much, that you would want one of your own =)
