A simple sweet dress made of cotton. I used the bodice pattern from Burda Style Magazine but altered it slightly. I made my own gathered skirt with fabric I had lying around. I guess you could call this a scrap project!

What alterations did you make to the bodice? The fit of your version is significantly better than most of the other ones that have been posted.

I sized down and then changed the armholes and neckline for a better fit. I made sure the fabric I was using had a little give. The result was a tighter fit (you might have to shorten/lengthen the darts depending on your bust size) but also a slightly raised waistline (very popular this season). The raised waistline made sure that the bodice wasn’t too tight— especially if I was going to chow down. :D
Thank you (all) for the wonderful comments!! <3
