Description

i love cut out detail so much, i wanted to incorporate it in my dress again.
i drafted this pattern based on danielle pattern from burdastyle. im not sure how it ended up like this, but i made a multiple modifications to the top front pattern.

i first change the bust darts to princess seams. i didn’t change much for the top back pattern, i kept the darts in the back but took in the sides to fit tighter to the body.
the skirt is just big squares.

    Terrifically fun dress. I love the cut-out because although it’s a bit risqué, the rest of the dress is modest, so it becomes an alluring design element instead of just one detail of a skimpy dress. This fabric is very cool, too — gingham with a twist. I’d wear this.

    It is lovely! I would have loved to see it worn though, to see the cleavage… (= should I copy it or not? ^^)’ But anyway it is a beautiful dress! And congrats on drafting the pattern yourself !
