Roommate: What are you making?
Me: A top
Roommate: Oh, it’s see through. So its a slut top.
Me: No…

Actually I think it turned out very pretty! Looks really good with a high waisted skirt.
This pattern was fairly easy and I think would be easy to make variations of. I originally wanted to make the sleeves and collar bigger but I got a little absent minded and scissor happy.
Material Notes
Pink stuff from thrift store. Pain in the butt to sew with.

Hey GREAT job on this top! I’ve just cut out my “slut top” too – but am so baffled by the instructions. Going to have to workshop it at my fortnightly “stitch and bitch” session with the girls. Can i quiz you on making it? The patter says to cut 4 of the sleeves – it doesn’t look like your sleeves are double fabric? Also, is the “placket” the casing for the drawstring around the neck? Sorry to be pain!

Oh yeah, I originally did the armholes with the interfacing but it looked really bad because they weren’t sheer anymore. Placket…. hmmm I don’t remember. There is one rectangle for the neckline tunnel and one for the sleeves, which I didn’t 100 % understand so I just said screw it because every little mistake was showing up on that damn fabric. You might have an easier time if yours isn’t sheer.
