Description

Since I had this fabric by my hand I decided to try this pattern #115 Burda 03/2015. The fabric was probably a bit too heavy, but then I can use it from now until summer :) So if I’m gonna make it over again I would choose a lightweight fabric. I made double layer in the waist and made 3 tunnels for rubber-band instead of sewing rubber-band underneath as in the instruction. I also stitched a hook in the front panels so I can use it without a top underneath. It’s very comfy to wear and I’m happy with the outcome, and it’s easy to style it with different colors :)

Nice jumpsuit Ellen, would love to make one some day. Thanks for adding that close up picture of the waist elastic. At first sight I thought that was shirring.

Thank you very much for such nice comment! If you use lightweight fabric I think it’s easier to make it with sewing rubber-band as in the pattern :)

Nice indeed and suits your style absolutely:-) As I see, it is pretty comfortable – when I saw it in the magazine, I wondered if it is possible to wear on a naked body and you found the way. One more universal thing in your wardrobe – seemes to be a good outfit to wear in different situations.

Thanks Oksana! Because of the color and fabric it’s wearable all year around…! It’s easy to put a shirt with long sleeves underneath as well :)

Wow, green grass already in Norway? The snow is finally melting here in Ontario…

I like the outfit colour because you are dressed and at the same time, the colour will help obscure any mud or rain marks made by walking, doing outdoor tasks, lugging patio furniture around, etc. Pockets-yes!! Always practical.

Beautiful jumpsuit! Do you believe that I never sew a jumpsuit in my life? Love your fabric choice and the deep V neck style. Also, those gathers at the waist makes the jumpsuit have a pretty balance :)
