I finally made my first garment for myself! and it fits! I used a DIY Style McCall’s pattern (M5714) and cotton sweatshirt fleece that I found on Fabric.com for under $5 a yard! I learned a lot making this piece, especially about jacket facings and hand sewing. It’s not perfect but I’m pleased with the outcome. It fits well and is warm and comfortable too.

Congratulations! This is a very cute jacket. Actually, I was going to make the same jacket too (the same baby blue, but with wool fabric). Now that I’m seeing a nice sample here, it encourages me to make mine soon.

Love it! My eye was drawn to it on the screen before I even clicked on the image. Good job, and I’m so happy that it fits so you can show it off!
