Sweater with air-lace

At my masters degree I’ve been transferring Gaudi’s patterns onto something more textile. One day my mentor told me to stop making just some artistic unwearable textiles and to make something more useful. So I made this Gaudi-inspired sweater with air lace. I just love it!

Very Gaudi! (Bad pun, I know, but anyway, it’s a nice—and wearable—interpretation of his stuff.)

Oh yeah, I forgot to add one little detail: I have no clue how to knit! I bought the knit and then sewed it as an ordinary jersey on the overlock machine. Just the air lace took me some time. I used a water-soluble flizelin (sorry, don’t know the right translation), mohair wool and afterwards also a bit of golden mesh to fill some of the holes.

This sweater looks so soft and snuggly! Almost makes me want to learn to knit…almost.

This is absolutely lovely! Could you share the pattern or the basic principle for how you made it?
