Feeling the need for a fun and quick project, I decided to makeover one of my boring old sweaters by adding a bit of color. First I made it a cardigan by cutting it up the middle. I then stitched a black grosgrain ribbon along the front edges to finish the cut edge. Then with a large sewing needle, I hand stitched, using my thumb as a guide, turquoise ribbon along the neck edge and down the front of the sweater. I also shortened the sweater and used the finished edge to make rosettes for the shoulder area.
It was a fun, cheap and easy project to give me a “pick-me-up” with some color.
