I never officially joined the sew-along, but I’ve been sewing along with you all the same. Here is my completed “Susan Blouse.” I ommitted the ruffles and the sash, and finished the sleeves at the elbow with bias binding. The buttons are from my vintage stash.

It’s beautiful! The fabric is so appropriate. I’m about to make one myself.

Wow! I really like your alterations! They make it seem more elegant and I love the fabric!!! I just love this blouse! Did you keep the V in back or did you get rid of that, too? I really want to make one like yours! thank you for the inspiration!

Thank you all for the lovely comments.
I didn’t alter the neckline, but maybe it appears less deep because I made one of the smaller sizes.

Can I ask, did you alter the neckline in some way? I ask because in all the other pictures of Susan that people have uploaded, the neckline appears to be a lot deeper (not sure if that’s the right word…I mean a lot lower).

It looks great! I really love how you’ve set up your photography too- the colours of the wooden door look great with the fabric. I thought it was one of the professional photos the girls take for this site to show off the patterns.

Very nice. It seems to be a completely different garment, but without loosing the nice vintage-y tough.
