This is seriously the easiest kaftan ever. It’s just 2 meters of chiffon (45inches in width), that I folded in 2 widthwise (I don’t think that’s even a proper word). I made a hole for the neckline at the folded side, and at the other end, I did a rolled hem. Then I sewed about 5 or 6 inches in from both selvedged edges (which I kept), all the way from the bottom leaving 7 inch opening for my arms. Finished the neckline with a rolled hem, and I got myself a comfy caftan! Obviously, it was too sheer to be worn alone, so I popped on some leggings and a tank top underneath. But really, with this thing, you can wear whatever inside it and it would look fine. It’d be a cool beach cover too, I think!
