Description
I just finished this dress – a summer dress for out-of-season summer weather in Sydney. I’m actually pretty pleased with how it’s turned out – it fits pretty well after some simple modifications! I lengthened the skirt about 5cm, widened the waist band and shortened the bodice a little, and I omitted the side zip due to the challenges of this crinkly, quickly frayed material. I also found the front “V” too low cut so I whipped up a slip in voile to go under it (separate pattern). This uses Vogue 1086 (Tracy Reese) pattern – refer more glamorous picture.
Material Notes
Cotton + something man-made. The crinkles stay put and the material has a bit of body; I don’t know what it is.
