I’ve never made a jumpsuit before and this shorts version of Burdastyle’s 5/13 issue, pattern # 129A was a perfect novice project. It was easy enough but I struggled a bit with figuring how to close the front portion below the waist. I sewed the front closure below the waist high enough so I can still squeeze into it without ripping anything apart. The top part is like sewing a top half of a wrap dress so no buttons were needed. I cut a size 17 and it fits nicely.
I believe I will make another one just like this just because it was fun to make and fun to wear.
I’ve tried to find this pattern in the Burda pattern store but the closest I could find was the 2/2013 #124 pattern which looks very similar to the pattern I used.
1.5 yards of cotton, 1/2 yard of muslin to line the shorts portion, thread
