Before I knew about the Burdastyle website, I saw a picture of the JJ shirt whilst googling patterns and really wanted to make one! I started this about 8 weeks ago and as usual procrastinated with the hem and button holes and only finished it today – the sun shining today kicked me into action, soon it will be very hot and I need some new summer clothes! I was originally going to put sleeves on my JJ but decided that I will get more wear of out of in Summer without sleeves, so I bound the arm holes instead. The only alteration I made was to make the arm holes a little lower – they were quite high on me. I roll hemmed the frills in red cotton.
Navy/red floral poly cotton, red buttons
Thank you JJ for this great pattern!

A very nice JJ variation. The contrasting red rolled hem makes the ruffles stand out.

Looks super! I absolutely love your variation without the sleeves. I have only 75 cm of a fabric and thought of the JJ blouse without ruffles and sleeves. After I’ve seen yours that seems like a good idea :)
