This dress is perfect for a summer picnic. The pattern does not recommend lining the skirt but as my fabric is eyelet with small holes, i lined it and i’m happy with the extra volume result. The skirt has a pocket in the right side (always convenient). I added a small collar made with eyelet lace and finished the lining of the skirt with the same lace. Also, instead of gathering the skirt, I made small plates.
It is my first time lining a bodice. I used to end most of my dresses with bias tape, so i was glad to see it is quite easy. I’m self-taught so my skills are not adquired in the logical order sometimes…
Yellow eyelet popelin and yellow batist for lining
Eyelet lace for collar and for finishing the inside of the skirt

Very pretty dress. The yellow colour is very cheery. I love your use of lace for a collar, very clever. Which pattern did you use?
