Description

I made this using a pattern borrowed from a friend. She didn’t mention that she hadn’t yet used it and so I didn’t dare to cut it out, so traced each pattern piece before cutting out on my own paper!
Easy enough pattern, but I complicated it by not leaving a seam allowance when cutting and so added a panel each side to expand it a bit. Just had enough material! I found a nice bit of lace to add to the neckline and hem and wore it the same night I finished it – next morning I was wondering what was sticking me – I had sewn two pins into the hem, so another unpicking job! Happy with the final result and will wear it next summer for sure.

Material Notes

Lightweight cotton with small blue heart print

My friend for her pattern (not quite sure which one now, but I will post it here if I can find out), from which I adapted the straps and lengthened it slightly to make a nightie.
