Burda Style For people who sew
Description
This is my fourth dress from this pattern. One of my favorites. It’s a late 60’s Simplicity (8189). Not only is it easy, but a great base to add simple embellishments to. Perfect for the summer. I added a low belt to this version.
I had intended to add sleeves originally. Since I was using some vintage polyester blend fabric, decided I’d better go sleeveless instead. If you’ve ever worn a polyester garment, you know what I mean. Such a shame because there is some great vintage polyester textiles out there.

SO cute! I think I have an orange dress made from this pattern that I bought in a charity/thrift store. I love it – so comfortable and effortlessly stylish. I love the pink dots and the low belt!

I really like it, looks retro and fresh. there is a simillar pattern in BS too. i really like the collar!! Why dont you try the dress on?? I would like to see you in it!

It’s so cute, I love those dresses from the late 60s… It’d be so fun tu wear it with colourful boots ^^ (but that would be for a winter dress!)
