I have finally finished my GCSEs and to celebrate I gladly threaded up my sewing machine for the first time in months. I am going on holiday to Malta in two weeks (so excited!) so I thought it would be perfect to make a kaftan. I based the kaftan on the Sunny resort blouse and the Burda Silk Caftan, however, I did find the Burda instructions very confusing and hard to follow:( The sunny resort blouse instructions were brilliant though. I added a v-neckline so the kaftan was cooler to wear. I love the outcome and I can’t wait to wear it on my summer holiday
To make the kaftan, I used chinese cotton bought from my local market and I used beading for the neckline.
Take off with pleats, cut-outs, insets, and futuristic prints.
