is an unfinished edge on this skirt or did you add a hem to it? i find it unclear in the instructions.

The gist of the pattern is great, you can work with the pattern with different styles to suit oneself. Nice dress. I made something slightly similar last year but have not put it up yet…I will have too:)

I’ll try making a muslin first. I find that most BurdaStyle jersey-patterns are not true to size. I’m a EU size 40, but most jersey-models are waaaaaay too big. I’m no more than a 36 in those. Kinda confusing!

Hi Mitmit,
Making a muslin is always a great idea! Also, we actually found that this particular pattern was a little bit smaller than normal. Of course, it also depends on if you like the garment to be drapy or form fitting. If you want drapy with this pattern, we suggest going up a size.
Best,
BurdaStyle

So I guess if I want this one form fitting I’ll be making a 36 as usual!? :-) Thanks for answering. :-)

Hi again, Yes, if you want it tight fitting we would suggest making it in a smaller size. You can also measure across the pattern pieces to make sure that it won’t be too small. Best, BurdaStyle

Sorry Burdastyle, but this dress just isn’t doing it for me. I find it very unflattering.

I will have to check this out. A modified version of this hemline (somewhat shorter in the back) happens to be a very good look for me.
