It’s a simple blue skirt with a high waist, rounded waistband and pockets.
I found the fabric for the main part on ebay and the striped fabric just smiled at me when I was looking for some fabric I could use for the waistband. I would have loved to get more of it to use it for another project, but my student budget didn’t think it was a good idea.
When I had finished the skirt it started snowing. I love snow and I wanted some nice pictures of the skirt, so I went outside to take pictures (only for a few minutes) . I just couldn’t resist. But the snow has already melted in the picture : (
Please, snow, come back. I’ll wear more adequate clothes, I promise!
- denim-looking thin cotton from ebay - zipper - striped cotton - lining

this is really really nice :) the whole outfit is just so sweet
plus the snow is so beautiful! unfortunately it doesn’t ever snow here in sydney, where right now it’s got to be at least 40 degrees celcius!! so i’m verrry envious of you for your snow :P

Thank you : )
We don’t always have snow here (very often it melts as soon as it hits the ground) , so I am quite excited about it.
40 is veery hot !! I would probably melt or burn. I could send you some snowy thoughts (a letter full of snow wouldn’t work, I guess) !

Thank you!
It is almost made like the "quick party skirt " by nayantara. I’ll add the link and my changes.

Very pretty. I like the mix of patterns. Did the snow feel soft at least? Haha

I was having fantasies about posing for photos in my almost finished dress (when it is finished of course) in the snow because it is so beautiful. But it’s just so cold! How did you manage to pose in snow BAREFOOT???
I like your poofy skirt and I like the striped fabric with it.

It was only possible because I was really warm. I had just come in wearing real winter clothes and when these were combined with the warmth of the heating inside it got too hot. So I though that was my chance to take the pictures : ) It is also right in front of my window, so I could (and did) run inside quickly.
I’m looking forward to seeing your dress (in the snow or anywhere else) !
