I wish the weather here would finally comply, so I could wear this dress outside…soon. The fabric is the most beautiful vibrant silk and a birthday gift from my mum. (Thanks mum :-) I used my bodice block for the top and made two fabric tubes for the straps. The skirt consists of two rectangular pieces that I gathered at the waist…very easy and quick to make.
In the back I added an exposed zipper. I know people say this trend is pass, but I think not :-) I am crazy about exposed heavy zippers, especially when paired with delicate fabrics like silk.
