IT WOULD MEAN THE WORLD IF YOU VOTED FOR MY DRESS <3 http://www.burdastyle.com/gallery/339?page=2
For this project I used the Theresa dress pattern as a base. I used a royal blue lace, and two polyester cotton mixes for the lining which are a coral and light sky blue. I was inspired by Miami Beach the epitome of summer if you ask me. The art deco inspiration, bright colors in every corner, light breezes, the ocean, everything screams paradise. I wanted my dress to bring the colors of Miami beach, and the movement of it’s blue oceans.
I altered the skirt of the dress into a full circle skirt, and I changed the back to a beautiful abstract open back that is held together with a small royal blue button. The dress is completely sewn by hand and reinforced with machine stitch at the hem and bodice panels. And of course like any modern dress should. .. it has pockets!
A huge thanks to Fabiola for being a wonderful model and Daena for taking these great pictures <3

Lovely dress! Using lace and adding a full skirt gives the dress much more polish. I especially like the back cutout.
