This is my second pencil skirt from the Jenny Skirt pattern here on Burda Style. I used Anna Maria Horner’s Drawing Room fabric for the skirt shell and a Bemberg lining for the lining. I added a back vent which I think added that next step up for the skirt pattern itself. I also cut the waistband on the cross grain, rather than the bias. I found this to be a bit more sturdy and didn’t tend to warp as easy as the bias waistband. This skirt has been incredibly comfortable to wear and I’m completely in love with the print and the fit. This was the finished skirt from my pencil skirt sew-a-long, which you can read more about on my blog.
cotton sateen, bemberg lining, vintage lace for the lining hem, invisible zipper
