Description

Both these dresses were pretty easy to make. The only issue is me still trying to figure out how to work my machine. I gave the plain striped dress to my friend and added a detachable belt to the second one since I think it looks better on me that way.

Material Notes

Pillowcase leftovers and thrift shop fabric

Love it! The fabrics are lovely- crisp, fresh and summery.

Very cute. Nice dress for this long hot summer. I am going to have to try thrift stores again. Last time I tried it I found nothing good but i see lots of people on Burdastyle crediting thrift store for beautiful fabric finds.

I think it’s funny you used the same fabric for the dress and your pillowcases. i’m just the same. that’s why I have a dress made out of the same fabric as my curtains. anyway I’m sure you’ll handle your machine quickly and create more! good luck!
