I need summer dresses!!! Not that I wouldn´t have some im my closet, but in the meantime I found most of them too short for my current taste ans also the prints are not what I really want…
So this is my next big project: many many summer dresses!
This way I also can diminish rapidly my huge fabrics collection.
I started with the model Simplicity 1873 by Cynthia Rowley C .
I changed the skirt to the style „front short back long“, because I like it so much at the moment. I omitted the lining, instead I turned over the neckline and armholes using bias tape – this way one can wear the dress on hot summer days too. I also bound the hem with bias tape and made 2 side pockets – love this!
This dress is for my shop, but don´t worry, there will be enough dresses for me too :-)
Cotton Satin with 2% Lycra
