Description

I love Seamwork’s Moji trousers! I’ve been looking at this pattern forever and really wanted to make it. But I have to admit…I’m cheap when it comes to patterns. Moji costs $12. I stopped buying the $5.99 patterns from the American Burda site because I speak Russian and they cost under $3 on the Russian Burda site (and they have loads of sales). So $12 was super expensive in my book.

But a bit of creativity and imagination goes a long way.

Read and see more :)

Thank you so much Nadia! Crochet isn’t difficult, from single crochet most other stitches are variations of it more or less :)

If you’ve seen the frog, that’s done solely in single crochet by the way ;)

Thanks! I love experimenting with colors, and this one was plain and sober but still a bit different, I like that :)

Very relaxed look and feeling:-) And I like the way you paired the trousers. Bright colours make such great combinations and make the mood so joyful:-) P.S. I used patterns (not only Burda) in Ukrainian, German, Russian, Polish, Czech and Bulgarian so it is usual thing to do:-)

these are great trousers! that’s how I feel about Named Alexandria Peg Trousers! I love to buy good indie pattern from time to time, but since I have been choosing between Anima Pants and Alexandrian Peg Trousers, and have chosen Anima, I am waiting for the later to go on sale – but that never happens!

I know the feeling! I buy indie patterns if I absolutely can’t find something to start from or if I want it to look exactly like their pattern (Colette Albion duffle coat for example), but generally I get creative ;)
Thanks for your comment :) They turned out to be a pleasure to wear.

Cool trousers! They really look good on you – the shape and the colour suits you really nice! So shiny photos! At the first sight I thought that you have used #106 A or B pattern from Burda 7/2017. I was thinking about sewing something like that for myself, but for early autumn (http://www.burdastyle.com/pattern_store/patterns/sporty-trousers-072017). But I am unshure about 2 things: 1) Will that gathering make me bigger in the waist? 2) How should I wash them (to omit fading black clothers onto that white stripes in the washing mashine on the one side and washing trousers by hands on the other? – I’m lazy)

Thanks Luda! They’re great to wear!
I like the ones from 7/2017 too but they came out when these were ready :D. I think the answer to question 1 is two-fold: If you have a defined waist or if the waistline of your trousers actually sits a bit below the waist, then no, it won’t make you bigger at the waist unless your hip size is way bigger than your waist size (I have 40 at hips, 38 at waist and the result is in the pictures).
For fabric washing, a lot of fabrics these days don’t shed colors, most woven cottons and viscose are fine. You can always wash the fabrics separately first a couple of times, and even leave the black in a vinegar solution to set the color further. An old sock with the black wash is recommended to see how much color it sheds :) Looking forward to seeing your creation :)

Great trousers and great fit! Im the same as you (cheap with patterns) but when one pattern jumps out sometimes you have to invest in it. I also buy the Burda magazine in spanish which sometimes can be a challenge as i only speak Spangalish :-) love the photos by the way.
