I got this fabric almost a year ago, and I couldn’t decide what to do with it until yesterday. :) The straps are braided (which took longer than I thought it would), and it’s a bit short, so you can see the bottoms of the pockets peeking out sometimes. The fabric is slightly stretchy, just enough so that I didn’t need closures. This is one of my learning-to-sew-stretch pieces; as you can see, the stitches pull, and are visible in some areas…I gotta work on that. I pleated (?) the front, like on my Obnoxious Hoodie, but this time I sewed it down. I added fabric to the sides because I thought it would be too tight, but it ended up being too loose, so I took out all the extra side fabric except for below the natural waistline, where the pockets are. I’m still learning how to fit tops properly…I can’t figure out why I don’t have this big of a problem with pants, hahaha.
Cotton? Stretchy fun patterned stuff.

I love the vision for this top. Very nice and fun- with pockets no less! Neat pleated front. I like the effect.
