Based on Burdastyle Andre, these lightweight cotton shorts fit in perfectly with our Aussie beachside, laid-back, shorts and flip-flops lifestyle.
I lengthened the leg by 20cm, and added two back pockets. The pockets are big enough for my boyfriend, Dave to carry his wallet and phone, because otherwise, I highly doubt he would wear the shorts at all! I feel like the pockets could have been stitched a bit closer together, but overall I’m quite pleased how these shorts turned out. Lucky for me, Dave, my Dad and my brother are all the same size, so I am going to make shorts for my family as Christmas presents out of the same pattern.

My husband wants me to make him some boardies, do you think this pattern with the legs lengthened would work? Thanks, Jenn.
