I am totally fascinated by reusing thrift store finds to create fashion. I am always looking for ideas about it.

I love the transformation! Resewing is great because there are such great patterned items in thrift stores that just have no body to them. The bonus is that they are much less expensive as well!

I love resewing! I have to check out that book! My daughter loves the sweater skirts I made her using sweaters I picked up from the thrift shops. I just about died when after I cut up this gorgeous wool sweater into the skirt pieces and saw the label. It was a $100 lambs wool sweater. The skirt came out beautiful and my daughter poo pooed it. Now her friend wears it and loves it. I used the sleeves for leg warmers. Her favorite skirt came from a hideous Christmas gift sweater my hubby got years ago. (go figure!). Anyway I can’t wait to see what else I can resew!

I have recently caught the re-sewing bug and have been having fun re-cutting adult size cloths for my girls. It is so exciting to visit an outlet store and dig through their “Mend Me” baskets. Cloths that I have bought for an absolute bargain because of broken zips or minor holes are turned into new outfits for my girls within hours. I’d love a copy of this book to get some re-sewing inspiration for myself – I haven’t done any adult size stuff yet!

Just watched the great promo video for the book – if you think this dress idea is good, have a look at the other re-sew ideas / designs presented in the book ! Very impressed (with both the promo video and the ideas). Worth adding to sewing library.
