Description

My first attempt at a self drafted pattern. Decided a while ago that I kind of wanted/needed a spring like jacket and that I wanted it to be soft and somewhat dressy at the same time. Therefore decided to make it out of a black and rich suede, and then line it with a silk lining that I initially had picked out for a different project but never got around to making.
I really ended up liking the finished project.

Material Notes

Suede and a nice silk lining.

First of all: That’s very ambitious, taking on drafting and sewing leather or suede in the same project! And you pulled it off. The jacket looks casual and a bit dressy at the same time, just like you wanted it to. Great work, I’m looking forward to seeing your next project.

Thank you, your comment made me happy as I wasn’t sure whether I should post my jacket or not thinking it didn’t quite match the quality of some of the other projects I’ve been watching here. You made my day!
