My biggest project ever!
Fabric is soft and drapy fake suede in color of light gray, facing is darker gray cotton with blue and beige paisley patterns. No lining, and all hems are finished with bias piping. Two-faced belt. Only one snap fastner at the waist.
This dress consists of more than twenty parts, and the fabric is too soft, and it was very hard to properly cut and sew. It took about four weeks from start to finish, and I was about to give up this project on the way. So I feel so happy, having completed this!
I have only one and half years experience, and this little experience is what made me start this project. That is, I couldn’t understand that this project is beyond my capability.
This dress is based on a pattern from “Stylebook”; Spring issue of 2012, though the original employs fly front, full front closure with buttons, and pockets, all of these I haven’t used.
I am planning to make a skirt using this cotton fabric for the facing, using the Marie pattern from Burda site.
Fake suede; rather thinner, soft, and drapy; light grey color;
Cotton/ polyester for facing

Thank you all! Sorry for this belated reply. I had been in business trip just after finishing this (Yes, I had brought this with me …)
With your kind posts, I am really flattered and energized. I had exhausted to do any sewings when I finished this, but now I am wondering to make another one with thicker plain cotton/linen …..
