I bought these two small pieces of fabric when
I worked at a high-end fabric store a few years ago. They were PERFECTLY matching color-wise, but such a strange pairing of fibers and textures. So of course I had to put them together.
It’s a very simple A-line skirt, but I hand-stitched an irregularly-shaped piece of lace at the bottom for the hem, and cut away the suede from under it for a little peek-a-boo effect.
I get a lot of mileage out of this skirt. It’s suitable for a lot of occasions!

I would have loved to see how you’d mach it with tops & shoes! I like how the lace is NOT all straight. That’s such a great idea… :-D

It’s amazing how a simple application of lace can really make the skirt. You did a great job and I’ll have to remember to use lace some time.
