This is my cotton flannel version of the Safari Sam Overshirt from Style Arc. The Safari Sam has shoulder epaulettes, a back yoke, front pockets with buttoned flaps and inverted pleats, and an inner sleeve tab that can be used to hold up the sleeves if you decide to roll them up. I left the sleeves tab off for this one. There’s no darts or princess seams, which makes this a good pattern for prints and plaids. There’s plenty of ease for wearing a tshirt underneath.
I made a linen version last summer and wanted a warmer one for the winter months. My blog post about this shirt can be viewed here.
