Description
Every month, Style Arc give you their free pattern of the month with your order of another pattern. In August, I received the Brenda pattern and thought it was perfect fora piece of border print cotton voile that I had in my stash. I saw a shirt in a designer magazine that had used the border print at the top of the shirt rather than at the bottom, so I thought I would try this for a change and I am happy with the result. This pattern wasn’t as well fitting as other Style Arc patterns so I had to remove the front darts to make it fit. but other from that, it is a lovely style.

Thanks Diana. I was looking through a magazine featuring some designer blouses and saw that the border print fabric was used in this way. I had this fabric and decided to try it out. The cotton voile is a little thin for a structured blouse but I wanted to use fabric in my stash.

Putting the border at the top instead of the bottom was certainly a very good idea – I like the twist it gave to the shirt!
