my girl wanted to be cinderella for halloween. i thought she doesn’t have enough hair for it. so i thought i would make a wig. i tried to make it cartoon like and this is what i got. i entered it in the singer sewing for kids contest.

i am laughing so hard right now. perhaps it’s the successful cartoon look to the wig, perhaps her endearing expression, but it just makes me laugh in a good way. reminds me of when i told my mom i wanted to be alice in wonderland for halloween. she always sewed my costumes from scratch and i won every costume contest we entered. but for the alice in wonderland costume, i wanted to be blonde. mind you, i’m half black and was still a pretty dark tanned kid in october from all my summer months spent at the beach every day. my mom was horrified to have to buy me a blonde wig, but that’s what i wanted….the pictures are still weird to look at, but man i loved flinging that blonde hair around if even for one day out of the year. i hope you win the contest and hope she has a great halloween!!!

i think alice is awesome. i think that it doesn’t matter about a tan. besides i would love to hang out at the beach alot too. if i walked around in a costume with no sleeves and a short skirt i would be sporting a farmer tan. tan forearms, tan feet and white upperarms & legs. i wish my daughter would want to be alice. i would love to make that costume, i would add the cheshire cat somewhere too. i would like her to be wendsday adams some time too, that would be cool. thanks for your comment mo-mo-sew-sew

It may take a couple of shots, but I think this will get you to the link. If not copy everything from "http:// to " but omit the quotation marks ("") Here it is: link to Instructables.com Link should read “link to Instructables” Nehmah

i got an email that said there will be voting for the different instructables. it starts sep. 14th – 20th. but the only thing is you have to be an instructibles user. i think that is kind of a jip, but i guess there is alot of info on there. here is a link(hahahe) to the wig. i doesn’t show up on the site yet, but i guess it is there.? http://www.instructables.com/id/stuffed-cinderalla-wig/

Could it be she thought that the hair would be real? She has a seriously “This is NOT what I expected” look on her little face. I do like the wig, though. Best wishes with the contest. Do we get to vote? If so, where? Cordially, Nehmah

she wanted to run around some more and i interupted her fun for a picture. i don’t know if we can vote or not. maybe this portion of a sentence will take you to the instructible site. i am horrible at links.
