For my daughter’s room, I made structured Roman shades that fold up when opened. The colors match the wall colors. I also sewed a satin padded headboard cover that just slips over her 4 poster bed and hand stitched pretty flowers all over it. The fabric I used for the shades was not wide enough for the width of the window, so I added a matching trim around it. Mounting the shade was by far the most challenging part of this project.
