This is my second pair of Ruby shorts I’ve made – I’ll upload the original pair soon! The pattern is really quite fantastic. They are relatively simple to make, and alter, and fit me pretty well. I made them a size bigger than I am, which makes them more comfortable to wear. I used an old fabric I had lying around, which I always thought was really ugly. Despite this, I think they turned out really nicely. I hemmed the shorts long, so I can wear them knee-length or roll them up to make short shorts. I ommitted the pocket on the back and instead added two slit pockets. I kept the top button on the waistband but turned the sides into pockets. I wasn’t sure how well this would work, but I think it looks pretty good. I have heaps of fabric left, so any suggestions as to what I can make out of it would be greatly appreciated!
