Cute dress made from stretch lycra knit (a basic singlet style I drafted off an existing one), combined with parts of a vintage dress.

Using recycled fabrics and vintage clothes definitely makes for a unique look! The top is lycra knit and the botton is a chambray cotton/denim. Love it!

How did you do the singlet edging. Where the neckline is. Um I have just had a mine blank and I totally forgot what its called. ?

It’s really easy to do a band! There’s a tutorial on here somewhere but I couldn’t find it. You just use a long strip of fabric folded over, sewn onto the neck and folded inside. I can’t explain it that well – just search on here!

Oh ok thanks, I will do so! It dosent look like you have used a separate piece on your neckline hem. Have you?

Yeah I’ve used an extra piece, but it is folded underneath then stitched on top so you can’t see it from the outside. It’s a really nice way to do hems and I use it on all my stuff :)
