Description

Recently I have been immersed in the fascinating art of Italian cuisine, so I sewed little. On my last visit to my favourite fabric shop I spotted this trendy floral striped fabric and was literally blown away by it. I took the last 90 cm remnant piece and decided to sew a mini dress. The fabric called for simple design as it was a pity to cut this fabulously fashionable print. The pattern from the June issue of Burdastyle magazine ( 7/2013_112) was the love from the first sight: V-neckline, no darts, easy to wear, comfy and casual at the same time.
I finished the neckline with the bias binding made from the main fabric. A couple of hours and an essential piece is added to my summer wardrobe.

The fabric is beautiful. I love how the flower print gets smaller towards the top of the dress. Perfect for summer!

so simple and so nice and what a good choice for this fabric. I had looked at this pattern and thought it boring, but your version is inspiring: with he right fabric it can turn into something beautiful!
