Description

This is the first top I made using an old knit top that I cut up and use as a basic pattern. It’s a pretty simple top so I added the vertical bow for added interest (some of the burdastyle members inspired me by their use of vertical and horizontal stripes). I did learn that it’s really important not to stretch the neckline when attaching the ribbing – it’s amazing how easy it is to do without realising. Since it was winter when I made it I cut off some sleeves from an old top and attached them as I had run out of fabric. I think I will remove them for summer.
