Description
This dress makes me wish for the warmer weather..
I made it using the same pattern as my blue floral dress but with short sleeves. This shape is so feminine and definitely vintage-inspired.
The striped fabric is something I found at a local market, it is comfortable but stiff, which is perfect for holding the shape of this dress and the full skirt. The bodice is shaped with 16 darts! (8 for outer fabric, and 8 for cotton lining) And of course, I added a little lace collar. I’m sure people are sweeter to you when wearing a cute collar :)

So cute! Reminds me of very old photos of vacations at the sea, where people often had navy and white striped dresses. And I think I will have to try the collar thing one day!
