I’m in the process of making these curtains for my mom. She purchased the fabric on clearance from http://www.fabric.com
I’m pretty sure the fabric was under $5.00 a yard.
The fabric wasn’t long enough vertically to cover the window completely, so my mom wanted a horizontal band across the top to add length and interest.
Curtains are a tad frustrating to sew. Not very challenging, and the same thing 8 times over!
I did not use a pattern. I still have one more to set of curtains to create. If anyone is interested in a how-to on a basic curtain, let me know and I can take some photos of the processs. (I could see this working with a contrasting print at the top, such as a polka dot and a stripe)
Not sure of the exact content. Some sort of upholstery/outdoor fabric.
My mom for coming up with the concept

Myself for the construction.
