Stretch Gabardine Tunic Dress.
Recommended fabrics: Softly draping fabrics with some body, with or without elastane.
Material Notes
Stretch gabardine with widthwise stretch and widthwise stripes, fabric width: 140 cm (55 ins), length: 3 pattern repeats, 1.90 m (2 1/8 yds) long (1 repeat 63 cm / 25 ins long). A piece of lining, approx. 25 × 35 cm (10 × 14 ins), for the pockets. 1 invisible zip, 22 cm (9 ins) long, and a special presser foot.

www.alfatex.de is the site that sells a lot of the fabrics used in the burda magazines. It only seems to stock ones from the previous 4 or 5 editions though and not ALL of the fabrics used, just a selection.

Maybe I am being particularly dumb but the instructions say the pattern prints out on to 11 sheets of A4 that can then be stuck together. Where are these sheets of A4? I can only find a 4 page set of instructions. Am I missing something?

Hello,
To get the pattern pdf. to print out you have to first purchase the pattern. This dress is based on and has the same pattern as the 02/2012 Tunic dress, which you can buy by clicking on the “add to cart” button further up to the right on this page. Once you have bought the pattern, you can download and print the pattern. Then follow the instructions for the Stretch Tunic Dress to make this dress.

A4 is the size of the paper. For example – you wouldn’t print it onto paper the size of an envelope, or the size of a blueprint. The pattern would not be the right size. So A4 is just how big the paper you’re printing on is :) You can google for the exact dimensions.

I love this dress, but wish a link to where to get that fabric came with the pattern. The fabric really adds to the allure of the dress. Anybody know where to get it?
