I recently had a video shoot where the stylist bought the same pair of leggings in two different colors. We ended up going with the red pair but I still owned the blue and had no intention of wearing them out in public.
I created pencil skirt that can easily be shortened by folding the hem under. I features an attached side ruffle from gathered pieces of the legging scraps. I also added a jean button to add some dimension.
This was my first time sewing without a pattern, so it took me a little while. About 3.5 hours.
