This is a custom made dress for a client.
I made the pattern myself.
The front of the dress has a simple scoop-neck bodice, fitted to the waist and hips, with an overskirt that features small pintuck over one thigh.
The back has a cross-over bodice and deep godets from the hip to form a narrow train. The weight of the fabric carried the train and forms a drape.
I used an embroidered stretch lace with viscose jersey as the lining. I used fell seams to give a soft feel to the skin.

Thank you for all your comments. I received a photo from the client – it definitely looks better on the person than on the mannequin…
